Traveling Diplomat

Paintbrush Diplomacy welcomes any and all travelers from any walks of life to participate in the Diplomat Program. Whether you are an avid traveler or are just a one-time visitor of another country, you can actively help Paintbrush to increase cultural awareness and connect children all over the world by becoming a Paintbrush Diplomat. The Traveling Diplomat Program is rooted to Paintbrush Diplomacy’s first art exchange that started when founders Char and Rudy Pribuss traveled the world, sharing student art one school at a time. Taking part in this program will surely enhance your experiences abroad as you independently facilitate an art project with the local children of the country to which you are traveling. The program itself is a simple three-step process:

  1. Pack a Diplomatic Pouch, provided by Paintbrush Diplomacy, filled with pieces of art by children all around the world.
  2. When you arrive at your location, hold a 1-2 hour art project with local children. Collect the pieces of art to bring back to the United States and give the artwork in the Diplomatic Pouch to the children you’re working with as gifts.
  3. Once back in the USA, return the art to the bay area Paintbrush Diplomacy headquarters either in person or by mailing, and they will be sorted into more Diplomatic Pouches to be sent back out to other children abroad.
