Currently, PBD advocates for cross-cultural communications with the generous help of university students (University Diplomats), travelers of all sorts (Traveling Diplomats) and schools and teachers all around the world who take part in our overarching International Art Exchange Program. We have reached children from over one hundred countries, and all participants are able to share their experiences and cultural knowledge with children around the world through the creative arts and the written word by engaging in our unique process of sending and receiving art. Separate from PBD’s International Art Exchange, we are also involved with the nascent healing art program, the ARMAN Project, which seeks to utilize any creative art processes as a healing tool for traumatized children in the local Bay Area. These programs are the heart and soul of PBD, and both embody our cause of joining art, children, and understanding.
