Our Interns

Sarah Kodaimati

My work at Paintbrush Diplomacy consists of coordinating art exchanges with other international organizations.  I am a student at California State University, East Bay.  I am bilingual, as I come from a Middle Eastern background, and speak English and Arabic.

 Andrea Henderson

Andrea Henderson is a Chicago native with a B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.  Currently, she lives in Davis, CA and works at a photography studio.  Andrea is the grant researcher for Paintbrush and its side project, ARMAN, helps to refine/design documents, and is also a part of the fundraising committee.

Lena Vuong

Lena is an L.A. county native who is currently a fourth-year U.C. Berkeley student majoring in Rhetoric.  Currently, Lena holds two internship positions, works for Berkeley’s athletic department, and volunteers as a staff writer for another nonprofit organization.  As the Intern Coordinator for Paintbrush, Lena assists and organizes the other interns to actuate Paintbrush’s goals and visions.

Jennifer Finch

Jennifer grew up in the Bay Area but is currently attending school at Whitworth University in Spokane, WA, where she is majoring in Peace Studies and Sociology.  As a summer intern for Paintbrush, Jennifer focuses on fundraising and is helping to expand the University Diplomat Program.

Anna Kim

I am an upcoming Senior of UC Berkeley and am majoring in the Interdisciplinary Studies Field, combining Art, Education, Psychology, and Sociology to explore the positive effects of art in children’s development and education.  Currently, in addition to working for Paintbrush, I am an art teacher in a summer camp because I am interest in Art Education or Art Therapy for children with disabilities or trauma.  In this way, Paintbrush has been a perfect fit for me because of our diverse projects, which includes facilitating art projects with groups of children and participating in therapeutic art healing sessions, from which I’ve gained skills related to nonprofit work.

Frances Villar

At a young age, Frances lived and attended grade school in the Philippines for two years because her parents wanted her to learn about her roots and culture.  She recently graduated from California State University, East Bay and received her degree in International Studies and French.  She is responsible for securing corporate sponsorhips for Paintbrush and maintaining Paintbrush’s social media resources. Aside from Paintbrush, Frances also interns for Orchard International.
